Unique pieces, handmade in Colombia
A boi: These unique pieces are the result of an encounter between William Contreras and Ana María Gómez in the mountains of Cucunubá, Colombia. There, every family carries generations of textile knowledge with them. William and Ana shared and exchanged know-how, different perspectives on making textiles and how craft and design may intersect. The storytelling tradition of this region recounts that it was Bochica, one of the gods of the Muisca people, who taught them to spin and weave plaids.
